Shipston on Stour v Norton Lindsey & Wolverton Cricket Club Saturday 1st XI on Sat 14 Jul 2018 at 13:30
Norton Lindsey & Wolverton Cricket Club Lost by 62 runs

Match report Another contrasting week at Norton Lindsey & Wolverton CC with dominant performances by the 2nd and 3rd teams, but the crisis at the top continues to deepen.
During the week, ex-skipper James Pyatt declared his intention to leave and finish the season with Astwood Bank, and there is the possibility of further departures.
This comes a week after Richard Pozzi and David McInnes took over to try and put the village side’s season back on track.
They visited Shipston hoping to recover some ground but lost the toss and found themselves in the field.
Matt Corby (62) and Julian Morris (59) got off to great start, putting on 124 for the first wicket and sending the ball over the boundary regularly.
McInnes finally made the breakthrough in the 26th over when he was brought back for his second spell, and he removed both openers in quick succession, bringing Marcus Ireland and Jack Murphy together.
The rate slowed briefly, and at 162-3 with 10 overs left, there was a chance that Shipston might be restricted to a manageable target.
However, after the departure of Jack Murphy (15), Ireland (87) took the hold of the game and punished all the bowlers, creating significant partnerships that put the home side right back in the driving seat.
He was dismissed in the 44th over having hit fourteen boundaries, six of which were maximums as Shipston posted a challenging 258 at the break, for the loss of just 4 wickets.
Norton could only look back at what might have been, having dropped Corby twice, plus a further two spilled chances.
McInnes finished with 2-54 off his 10 overs, but Sunny Nijjar had been economical in his first eight, taking 1-24, but Ireland's final flourish added another thirty runs to his analysis.
With the Shephard brothers missing, the top order was reshuffled, but Norton's reply got off to a bad start when Steve Rushton (4) was bowled in the first over, bringing skipper Richard Pozzi (15) out to join Nijjar (18).
Their partnership only lasted eight overs as the bowlers kept the pressure on, and despite batsmen getting starts, none went on to a ‘big one’.
At 95-7 in the 21st over it looked like things had run out of steam, but number seven Martin Perfect was joined by James Robins to produce a partnership that looked like it might turn the game.
Putting on 49 runs in the next eight overs, the pair put the chase right back on track, with Robins (27) scoring the majority of his total in boundaries.
As 95-7 became 147-9 with fifteen overs still to go there was still a chance as number eleven Steve Bliwert (23) joined Perfect, who passed his 50 in the 42nd over.
Runs continued to flow until Shipston introduced Jack Murphy, and he finished the game in his third over, when a stumping sent Bliwert on his way, leaving Perfect on 54no.
A difficult week for Norton who have now lost five of their last six, and need to step up their game when they face League leaders Lapworth at home this weekend.
